We had an incredibly weekend stay at Cuyuna Cove with our one year old! It was gorgeous winter weather so we enjoyed... going for hikes (we brought a toddler sled) and snow shoeing. The cabin was SO beautiful and clean. Everything we could have needed for our stay was provided for us right down to the last detail. We loved sitting on the balcony to enjoy our meals! We weren’t sure how sleeping arrangements would go with a toddler but we brought a portable crib and set it up in the bathroom and our son slept a full 12 hours each night. Overall, it was the perfect place to turn off our phones, forget about work, and just enjoy some family time.read more
Our only regret was not booking another night! Not only did we fall in love with our cabin, but discussed moving to... Crosby because we never visited a town so welcoming and all the shops downtown were awesome! We definitely want to experience it during summer/fall so I guess we will have to book once again! Definitely recommend for a nice getaway 👍🏻read more
This is one of the most magical places on earth! We went in November and had the best weekend. We explored the local... trails / mine lakes - super easy to access and so fun to do! We also explored the local city which was adorable. The cabin itself is perfect! We even brought our dog who had an absolute blast. We will definitely be back!read more
We celebrated our first anniversary at Cuyuna Cove, and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect setting! The weather... was PHENOMENAL for mid-October in MN, and we spent two full days paddle boarding on the mine lakes, and were blown away by the beauty and magic. Each night we had dinner in town, followed by an evening nightcap and a fire. The cabin was very clean, inviting, and had everything we needed for a 3 night stay. Morning coffee on the deck is a must! We can't wait to book our next trip!!read more
We stayed in the June cabin at Cuyuna Cove for a few days after our wedding in August and had such a fun mini-moon! So... much attention to detail in the cozy cabin and our 30 lb. French Bulldog fit perfectly with her crate. We loved sitting on the porch listening to the waterfall in front of the cabin and being surrounded by nature. The trails are easy to access near the property. We also checked out a few local parks and hiked at Cuyuna State Rec Area. So fun and easy to explore. The town of Crosby is so cute too. Highly recommend checking out Victual. Terrific ice cream and extensive gift shop. Our trip to Cuyuna Cove was just what we needed after our wedding and we can’t wait to go back!read more
Cuyuna Cove was the best vacation I have ever booked! The cabins are absolutely beautiful—clean, no small, detail... overlooked, well thought out, stocked with every you may need. The view from the cabin was the definition of relaxation and self-care. While the property itself was literally perfect, the detailed guide of things to do and where to eat was SO helpful! We appreciate an insiders guide to the town and all the recommendations were amazing!read more
My wife and I booked the cabins at Cuyuna Cove for our tiny wedding and everything was incredible. Working with the... team at Cuyuna was so wonderful and they went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed! We went mountain biking while we were there and had a great time hanging out on the property, as well as in Crosby. We had our wedding Memorial Day weekend but have also been in the winter and stayed in a cabin and it was fabulous in both seasons. Tons of activities for anyone and everyone! I highly recommend a stay here if you get the chance!read more
If I could have a mini vacation to Cuyuna Cove once I month, I think my life would be so much better and more relaxed... ❤️The owners and everyone involved at Cuyuna Cove are AMAZING and there is no detail spared. We've been twice in the past year and are planning another trip in the winter because we love it so much. The cabins are lovely, cozy, relaxing, and honestly just so very serene. You will not be disappointed in booking these cabins for your next getaway. If you need somewhere to relax and take a few days away from the craziness of life, this is the place to go! Can't wait to get back up there in December! In my opinion, winter getaways up there are the best! PS - take a relaxing shower in the evening with the lights off and enjoy the glow of the twinkle lights outside 🙂read more
Unbelievable place! Simply amazing. If you want a nice, quiet getaway, this IS the place. Cabins are upscale modern... rustic. There is no TV, which makes this the ultimate getaway. Rented bikes as there are trails everywhere. First time rider for me & it is SO worth it. You will not be disappointed!read more
This place is a gem, we stayed at one of the cabins and enjoyed every minute of the stay. Very well appointed and... stylish. I'm more into the biking that my wife so this set up and location was perfect. Since its on a trail that goes to the trails, I could sneak in extra trail time (morning ride while she enjoyed a cup of coffee on the deck). We enjoyed the suggestions from the host on where to dine and things to do in town. We packed tubes and had a floating happy hour in the one of the beautiful lakes, which felt great after a day on the trails. Thanks Chris and Kelsey we will be back again.read more
We loved our experience at Cuyuna Cove and the Acro Deluxe Cabin. The cabin was beautifully decorated, clean and cozy.... The attention to each and every detail made the experience lovey and relaxing after a day in the Cuyuna Recreation Area on our mountain bikes and canoe. We loved the pour over coffee, the additional outdoor shower, comfy bed and pillows, and the morning/evening view of the wooded area, just to name a few.read more

Amazing! Fantastic! SO LOVELY!! Took a little getaway trip with my daughter to Cuyuna Cove - it is a perfect getaway... spot! The cabin, the grounds, the location! Kelsey and Chris's attention to detail is over the top - they've thought of every little thing -- what to do, where to go, how to do it. Any issues? They, or Sarah, are on it in no time! Cuyuna Cove is a new MN gem. It’s thoughtful owners have created a getaway that offers a refuge that can be used as a... solo getaway (as I did) as easily as it can be a retreat for couples or friends. It squarely hits my target of simple creature comforts alongside easy access to outdoor adventure: from your cabin doorstep you can bike, paddle board, swim or hike. The Cuyuna Cove team of Kelsey, Chris, and Sarah are welcoming, thoughtful and kind, and genuinely want the best for their guests.read more
What a great weekend getaway! My girlfriend and I loved staying in the stylish, cozy cabins, and you have the Cuyuna... single track trails literally right outside for some easy access mountain biking! All of our expectations were met, and exceeded. 10/10 would stay again.read more
Holy smokes... where to start?! We wanted to visit Crosby, after hearing about what an incredible mountain bike... destination it is. We knew we found our home for the weekend when we stumbled onto Cuyuna Cove's website. We had a couple of questions prior to arrival and the owners were super-helpful and knowledgable, not to mention quick to respond. When we arrived, we were so excited for our own little slice of Walden, so close to downtown. While the cabins are close to the main drag of Crosby, you feel like you're in natural solitude. We loved how simple, yet thoughtfully curated the cabin space was and waking up to the natural light every morning was SO refreshing! Couple that with locally roasted coffee on the porch, overlooking the pond and you're in heaven, ready to start your day. Not only are the cabins so close to town, but the bike trails are literally outside your door. Access for our daily adventure rides could not have been easier. If you're a nature lover, but still want cozy, luxurious comfort, look no further than "The Cove". HIGHLY recommend this spot and cannot wait to come back!!!read more
Fabulous cozy spot just a little bit out of the way. Our mistake was bringing our pup during hunting season. She went a... little stir-crazy, with none of the nearby trails open, so little daylight, and the nearest safe trail being 45 minutes away.Nonetheless, the lodgings are wonderful. Cozy bed, functional kitchenette. A great place to lay low for a day and recharge.read more
We stayed for a long weekend with our 5 yo, and it was amazing! The location is so peaceful but still close to trails... and the town. The cabins were very welcoming and clean, and we loved the feel and design of them. It was very relaxing and the perfect get away! Our daughter even did some mountain biking, too! We will definitely be back!!read more
We had a great short getaway at Cuyuna Cove. The walking distance to Crosby was really nice - there are some fun cafes,... a brewery, restaurants, and the best ice cream place we have ever been to. The cabins were in great condition with all the essentials. We loved sitting on the deck with our cups of coffee in the morning before heading out for some hiking! We will definitely be returning!read more

Cuyuna Cove was an absolutely lovely experience from start to finish. I stayed in the June cabin and loved the style,... the cozy setting and the view from the balcony. Thinking the weather would be snowy, I rented snowshoes from Cuyuna Cove, but they emailed me the week before my stay to let me know that the weather wouldn't be ideal and refunded me for the rental -- I really appreciated them being proactive and thoughtful!Thank you Kelsey and team for an amazing trip!read more
We had a wonderful stay at Cuyuna Cove! The cute cabins offer a beautiful view and come equipped with the comforts of... home (wifi, hot water, comfy bed and coffee). Our stay at Cuyuna was magical! With an early winter getaway (that some would consider off season), we found the cozy... cabin a perfect escape. The miles of trails and general area a beautiful place to explore. This was our first time to Crosby and we loved the small town charm with access to great food, drink and the surprise of Victual was a real treat (you must stop there, don't miss it)! Kelsey and Chris are 5-star hosts and created a beautiful paradise just on the edge of town. We can't wait to come back (and bring bikes!)read more
Cuyuna Cove was a great place to stay for our family of three to explore the Cuyuna Lakes area. Owners had great... communication and everything was as advertised. Room was comfortable - cozy but functional. Very clean and quiet. Plenty warm even though it was -20 degrees outside. Bike storage was secure. Another huge plus is the location - so close to town and right in the midst of MTB trails. Can access right from your door. We'll definitely be back in the summer.read more
What a warm, inviting place to spend a winter retreat. In our covid age where privacy and independence are paramount,... we truly enjoyed the freedom of Cuyuna Cove. All you need is your code and you're in.Luxurious touches in the bathroom, pillows and bed pair nicely with the small space. The south aspect on the porch means that it's the place to be on a warm afternoon, and makes the bed a perfect spot for a quick snooze after spending the morning on the trails — which are literally reached from the front door. It's amazing.Just remember, these cabins are designed to minimize space and maximize efficiency. We thought it was perfect for two people, but more than that would be tight. Overall, a fantastic experience. Tiny living done right.read more
I was seeking a get-away for a private "retreat" between jobs and Cuyuna Cove could not have been more perfect.... Everything was as advertised. Beautiful area. Almost like out of a movie how perfect it was. Highly recommend.read more
I recently stayed at Cayuna Cove (a much needed respite from 2020) and was not disappointed with my choice. The cabins... are cozy, comfortable and well designed. It was quiet and beautiful. I was able to settle in and just enjoy reading, and enjoying the scenery. While there we got a nice overnight snowfall to make it even more cozy. I appreciate the thoughtful design of the cabins - it exceeded my expectations. I am looking forward to returning and bringing my mountain bike.read more
They really do go above and beyond to make your stay as welcoming as possible. The area is quiet and peace full. I'd... say a 15 minute walk to get to the good places downtown which is nice. They have cute lights outside on the path to the firepits so you can see where you're going and what you're doing. The great part was that they turn off at around 9 pm so don't worry if you like to keep the shades open while you sleep. Also don't expect long hot showers! Of course it's small and so is the water heater. It provides enough time for someone to take a shower but not to sit around like I do :)The towels are amazing! I didn't use any of the bath products provided since I have very sensitive skin.I also LOVED the coffee. I've never used a french press before and had the opportunity to grind the beans and use it. How exciting!Would love to come here again and again.read more
