This place is a gem, we stayed at one of the cabins and enjoyed every minute of the stay. Very well appointed and... stylish. I'm more into the biking that my wife so this set up and location was perfect. Since its on a trail that goes to the trails, I could sneak in extra trail time (morning ride while she enjoyed a cup of coffee on the deck). We enjoyed the suggestions from the host on where to dine and things to do in town. We packed tubes and had a floating happy hour in the one of the beautiful lakes, which felt great after a day on the trails. Thanks Chris and Kelsey we will be back again.read more
We loved our experience at Cuyuna Cove and the Acro Deluxe Cabin. The cabin was beautifully decorated, clean and cozy.... The attention to each and every detail made the experience lovey and relaxing after a day in the Cuyuna Recreation Area on our mountain bikes and canoe. We loved the pour over coffee, the additional outdoor shower, comfy bed and pillows, and the morning/evening view of the wooded area, just to name a few.read more
An absolute gem of a place to stay. Every little detail has bee thought of and planned for. Great amenities and... ambiance. If you're looking for a getaway, this is the spot! Close to biking, swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking and hiking!read more
Amazing! Fantastic! SO LOVELY!! Took a little getaway trip with my daughter to Cuyuna Cove - it is a perfect getaway... spot! The cabin, the grounds, the location! Kelsey and Chris's attention to detail is over the top - they've thought of every little thing -- what to do, where to go, how to do it. Any issues? They, or Sarah, are on it in no time! Will definitely be back - we didn't want to leave!read more
Cuyuna Cove is a new MN gem. It’s thoughtful owners have created a getaway that offers a refuge that can be used as a... solo getaway (as I did) as easily as it can be a retreat for couples or friends. It squarely hits my target of simple creature comforts alongside easy access to outdoor adventure: from your cabin doorstep you can bike, paddle board, swim or hike. The Cuyuna Cove team of Kelsey, Chris, and Sarah are welcoming, thoughtful and kind, and genuinely want the best for their guests.read more
What a great weekend getaway! My girlfriend and I loved staying in the stylish, cozy cabins, and you have the Cuyuna... single track trails literally right outside for some easy access mountain biking! All of our expectations were met, and exceeded. 10/10 would stay again.read more
Holy smokes... where to start?! We wanted to visit Crosby, after hearing about what an incredible mountain bike... destination it is. We knew we found our home for the weekend when we stumbled onto Cuyuna Cove's website. We had a couple of questions prior to arrival and the owners were super-helpful and knowledgable, not to mention quick to respond. When we arrived, we were so excited for our own little slice of Walden, so close to downtown. While the cabins are close to the main drag of Crosby, you feel like you're in natural solitude. We loved how simple, yet thoughtfully curated the cabin space was and waking up to the natural light every morning was SO refreshing! Couple that with locally roasted coffee on the porch, overlooking the pond and you're in heaven, ready to start your day. Not only are the cabins so close to town, but the bike trails are literally outside your door. Access for our daily adventure rides could not have been easier. If you're a nature lover, but still want cozy, luxurious comfort, look no further than "The Cove". HIGHLY recommend this spot and cannot wait to come back!!!read more
Fabulous cozy spot just a little bit out of the way. Our mistake was bringing our pup during hunting season. She went a... little stir-crazy, with none of the nearby trails open, so little daylight, and the nearest safe trail being 45 minutes away.Nonetheless, the lodgings are wonderful. Cozy bed, functional kitchenette. A great place to lay low for a day and recharge.read more
We stayed for a long weekend with our 5 yo, and it was amazing! The location is so peaceful but still close to trails... and the town. The cabins were very welcoming and clean, and we loved the feel and design of them. It was very relaxing and the perfect get away! Our daughter even did some mountain biking, too! We will definitely be back!!read more
We had a great short getaway at Cuyuna Cove. The walking distance to Crosby was really nice - there are some fun cafes,... a brewery, restaurants, and the best ice cream place we have ever been to. The cabins were in great condition with all the essentials. We loved sitting on the deck with our cups of coffee in the morning before heading out for some hiking! We will definitely be returning!read more
My wife and I loved every minute of our stay in Feb. We also brought our (then) 5 month old. It was extremely relaxing.... We enjoyed it so much that we reserved a stay in the summer. Can’t wait to experience it again. Highly recommended!!read more
Cuyuna Cove was an absolutely lovely experience from start to finish. I stayed in the June cabin and loved the style,... the cozy setting and the view from the balcony. Thinking the weather would be snowy, I rented snowshoes from Cuyuna Cove, but they emailed me the week before my stay to let me know that the weather wouldn't be ideal and refunded me for the rental -- I really appreciated them being proactive and thoughtful!Thank you Kelsey and team for an amazing trip!read more
We had a wonderful stay at Cuyuna Cove! The cute cabins offer a beautiful view and come equipped with the comforts of... home (wifi, hot water, comfy bed and coffee). Our stay at Cuyuna was magical! With an early winter getaway (that some would consider off season), we found the cozy... cabin a perfect escape. The miles of trails and general area a beautiful place to explore. This was our first time to Crosby and we loved the small town charm with access to great food, drink and the surprise of Victual was a real treat (you must stop there, don't miss it)! Kelsey and Chris are 5-star hosts and created a beautiful paradise just on the edge of town. We can't wait to come back (and bring bikes!)read more
Cuyuna Cove was a great place to stay for our family of three to explore the Cuyuna Lakes area. Owners had great... communication and everything was as advertised. Room was comfortable - cozy but functional. Very clean and quiet. Plenty warm even though it was -20 degrees outside. Bike storage was secure. Another huge plus is the location - so close to town and right in the midst of MTB trails. Can access right from your door. We'll definitely be back in the summer.read more
What a warm, inviting place to spend a winter retreat. In our covid age where privacy and independence are paramount,... we truly enjoyed the freedom of Cuyuna Cove. All you need is your code and you're in.Luxurious touches in the bathroom, pillows and bed pair nicely with the small space. The south aspect on the porch means that it's the place to be on a warm afternoon, and makes the bed a perfect spot for a quick snooze after spending the morning on the trails — which are literally reached from the front door. It's amazing.Just remember, these cabins are designed to minimize space and maximize efficiency. We thought it was perfect for two people, but more than that would be tight. Overall, a fantastic experience. Tiny living done right.read more
I was seeking a get-away for a private "retreat" between jobs and Cuyuna Cove could not have been more perfect.... Everything was as advertised. Beautiful area. Almost like out of a movie how perfect it was. Highly recommend.read more
I recently stayed at Cayuna Cove (a much needed respite from 2020) and was not disappointed with my choice. The cabins... are cozy, comfortable and well designed. It was quiet and beautiful. I was able to settle in and just enjoy reading, and enjoying the scenery. While there we got a nice overnight snowfall to make it even more cozy. I appreciate the thoughtful design of the cabins - it exceeded my expectations. I am looking forward to returning and bringing my mountain bike.read more
They really do go above and beyond to make your stay as welcoming as possible. The area is quiet and peace full. I'd... say a 15 minute walk to get to the good places downtown which is nice. They have cute lights outside on the path to the firepits so you can see where you're going and what you're doing. The great part was that they turn off at around 9 pm so don't worry if you like to keep the shades open while you sleep. Also don't expect long hot showers! Of course it's small and so is the water heater. It provides enough time for someone to take a shower but not to sit around like I do :)The towels are amazing! I didn't use any of the bath products provided since I have very sensitive skin.I also LOVED the coffee. I've never used a french press before and had the opportunity to grind the beans and use it. How exciting!Would love to come here again and again.read more
